Healthcare

Aims to develop new knowledge to improve healthcare.

Research projects will examine what are the most effective, efficient, and preferred models of healthcare for people with disability that optimise healthcare use and health outcomes.

Outcomes will be recommendations on heathcare models and funding mechanisms that are likely to deliver large health gains for people with disability and reduce inequities.

Aims to develop new knowledge to improve how NDIS services and supports breakdown the barriers that case inequities in the social determinants of health.

Research projects will examine cost effective solutions that reduce, remove or overcome societal barriers that impact the social determinants of health and hinder people with disability to be able to fully participate in society.

Outcomes will be recommendations to the NDIS on what works and at what cost.

Aims to maximise health outcomes by generating new knowledge on improving housing and neighbourhoods, enabling active community participation.

Research projects will examine the allocation and investment in social housing and how social housing and planning policies support the health and wellbeing of people with disability.

Outcomes will be recommendations on optional approaches to allocate and invest in housing & neighbourhoods for better health outcomes.

Work

Aims to develop new knowledge on to reduce significant gaps in employment outcomes for those with disabilities and reduce implications for health and wellbeing.

Research projects will model the impact of a suite of employment interventions (e.g., disability employment service reforms) to increase employment and improve health and wellbeing outcomes and inequities.

Outcomes will be recommendations on ways to change incentives and supports provided to people with disability.
