Led by CIs Bailie and Chen, AHEAD will consider the barriers and enablers for people with disabilities, health professionals and services providers in current policies to better understand how these drive structural and social inequities and identify additional policy levers that can be applied to narrow inequities.
-
Policy review
Led by CI Dickinson and CI Yates, who have significant experience in analysing complex policy systems, this cross-cutting research hub will identify and analyse the suite of policies that have implications for the Research Streams.
-
Lived Experience
Led by CIs Dickinson and Kavanagh, this hub will engage with people with disability, researchers with disability and advocacy groups (e.g. Disability Advocacy Network Australia) to ensure the priorities, views and values of people with disability are at the forefront of the research agenda for each stream.
-
Data & Modelling
Policy modelling and simulation will be undertaken to examine which interventions are likely to create the most impactful solutions and provide the best value for money. This hub will be led by CIs Petrie and Aitken who have extensive experience in modelling the social determinants of health and estimating the cost effectiveness of alternative policy options.
